Greenzo Energy India Limited to set up a green hydrogen plant for Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) in Odisha. JSL is India’s largest stainless steel producer and runs a facility at Kalinga Nagar Industrial Complex in Jajpur.

The order covers supply, erection, installation, and commissioning of the plant. Greenzo will also provide full operational support. The plant will have an annual capacity of 472,409 kg of hydrogen and a complete balance-of-plant system.

Delivery will take place within six months of signing the contract. After commissioning, the unit will produce 5,256,000 Nm³ of hydrogen every year. This equals 0.47 KTPA. Moreover, the design allows expansion up to 1.5 KTPA in the future.

JSL will use the hydrogen in stainless steel production. Processes like the Bright Annealing Line and Bell Furnace will adopt the clean fuel. As a result, JSL will cut its carbon footprint and move towards green steel. Greenzo will also train JSL engineers for 30 days on site. In addition, the company will give 11 months of remote support. This ensures smooth integration and long-term reliability.

Sandeep Agarwal, Managing Director of Greenzo Energy India Limited, said that JSL’s trust highlights Greenzo’s role as a strong hydrogen partner. He added that the company’s electrolyser uses India-made bipolar stack technology. It produces hydrogen at 30 bar and offers a purity of 99.99999%. The system also comes with SCADA and AI-enabled automation. According to Agarwal, this ensures both efficiency and scalability.

For JSL, the project is a big step towards decarbonisation and global ESG standards. For Greenzo, it adds to a growing order book and builds its reputation as a clean energy partner.

The order comes as India pushes hydrogen adoption with strong policy support. Heavy industries like steel, refining, and chemicals are now integrating electrolysers. Experts expect major demand growth in the coming years. Early movers like JSL and Greenzo aim to lead this global clean energy shift.

Greenzo Energy is India’s first integrated green hydrogen solutions company. It focuses on electrolysers, balance of plant systems, and clean energy technologies. The company collaborates with leading industry players and utilities to boost India’s energy transition while contributing to the National Green Hydrogen Mission.

Meanwhile, Jindal Stainless has a capacity of 2.9 MTPA and serves industries such as automotive, railways, infrastructure, and consumer goods.
