Sambhv Steel Tubes to Invest ₹148 Crore in Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe Manufacturing Facility
Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited has approved a ₹148 crore investment to establish a greenfield stainless steel seamless pipe and tube manufacturing facility in Chhattisgarh. The proposed facility will have an initial capacity of 14,400 MTPA and is targeted for completion by March 2028.
Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited is expanding its manufacturing portfolio with plans to establish a new stainless steel seamless pipe and tube manufacturing facility in Chhattisgarh. The company has approved an investment of ₹148 crore for the greenfield project, which will be developed through its wholly owned subsidiary, Sambhv Tubes Limited. The proposed facility will have an initial manufacturing capacity of 14,400 Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA). The project is scheduled for completion by March 2028 and represents an expansion of the company’s presence in the steel products segment.
According to the company’s announcement, the total investment of ₹148 crore will be funded through a combination of debt and internal accruals. The company plans to raise ₹100 crore through debt to finance the project, with the remaining investment supported by internal resources. The move marks Sambhv Steel Tubes’ entry into the stainless steel seamless pipe and tube manufacturing segment. The proposed facility will add a new product category to its manufacturing operations and expand its capabilities in value-added steel products. Stainless steel seamless pipes and tubes are used across several industrial applications, where material performance and product reliability are important considerations. The proposed manufacturing expansion will position Sambhv Steel Tubes to participate in this segment while broadening its existing product portfolio. With the new facility planned in Chhattisgarh, the company is progressing with its manufacturing expansion strategy. Once operational, the facility will add 14,400 MTPA of proposed initial capacity to its stainless steel seamless pipe and tube manufacturing operations.
The project, scheduled for completion by March 2028, marks a new phase in Sambhv Steel Tubes’ expansion into specialised steel products.
