Nippon Kinzoku has released its advanced stainless steel foil for the automotive and electronics markets.
Nippon Kinzoku has unveiled its advanced stainless steel foil, designed with high precision, wide width and large unit weight, catering to industries such as automotive, battery and semiconductor manufacturing. The Tokyo-based company’s proprietary technology allows for a maximum width of 600mm and a minimum thickness of 0.02mm, enhancing productivity and yield for its customers.
The stainless steel foil is available in two distinct surface finishes: ‘Bright Surface’ (BS) for improved durability in applications like tact switches, and ‘White Surface’ (WS) for better adhesion and visibility in rechargeable batteries and connectors. These finishes are tailored to meet varying surface design and functional requirements across different applications.
Nippon Kinzoku’s stainless steel foil is suitable for a range of uses, including surface heating elements in vehicles, FPC reinforcement plates and metal masks for electronic devices. The wide-width and thin gauge capabilities of the foil are particularly valuable in improving processing yields and efficiency in production lines.
