Jindal Stainless Hisar Wins Platinum Award for Energy Excellence in Stainless Steel Manufacturing

Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit wins the Platinum Award in the ‘Energy Excellence – Large (Manufacturing)’ category at the 18th National Competitiveness & Cluster Summit 2025. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) hosted the event at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi in October 2025. Moreover, the award highlights the company’s strong leadership in sustainable manufacturing and its long-term focus on responsible growth.

The Hisar team showcases its work in smarter resource management and cleaner stainless steel technologies. The team also reports steady improvements in energy performance at the plant. Furthermore, the assessment panel reviews its progress in process optimisation, sustainability integration, and innovative practices designed to cut emissions in stainless steel production.

Jindal Stainless continues to work towards its goal of net zero emissions by 2050. The Hisar unit presents its stainless steel initiatives with clear data and strong outcomes, and the jury selects it over several major industrial participants. Additionally, the team earns praise for its ability to link energy efficiency with future-ready manufacturing.

Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal expresses pride in the recognition. He says sustainability and competitiveness stay connected in modern stainless steel production. He also says the Hisar plant shows how stainless steel manufacturers can balance progress with purpose while shaping the industry’s future.

The CII National Competitiveness & Cluster Summit entered its 18th year and continues to promote industrial excellence, competitiveness, and sustainable business practices. Besides, the two-day summit welcomed hundreds of companies from sectors such as stainless steel, automotive, energy, engineering, and manufacturing. Participants shared case studies across 11 award categories and exchanged knowledge on efficiency, innovation, and sustainable industry growth.

Jindal Stainless continues to prioritise a greener and sustainable future. The company produces stainless steel through the electric arc furnace route. This method sharply cuts greenhouse gas emissions and supports full recyclability of scrap while maintaining consistent quality.
