Industry Impact
A joint report by Steelmint and Global Stainless Steel Expo projects India’s steel production to grow at 9 per cent annually until 2030. Over the past two decades, stainless steel consumption in India has increased nearly tenfold. The country is the second-largest producer of high-quality stainless steel and one of the fastest-growing global markets.
India has also emerged as a leading stainless steel exporter. Changing perceptions of the material have unlocked new applications across sectors. Today, stainless steel is widely used in Architecture, Building & Construction (ABC), Automotive, Railway and Transportation (ART), and Chemical & Food Processing. This confirms India’s status as the fastest-growing stainless steel market in the world.
GSSE’s vision is to take India’s stainless steel industry to the global stage. The expo actively connects with consumers from different countries. These visitors, together with their Indian counterparts, become potential clients for exhibitors. The event welcomes organisations aiming to develop sustainable solutions for global energy and national priorities.
