ANDRITZ Secures Major Order for Saritas’ New Stainless Steel Plant in Türkiye
ANDRITZ AG has announced that Saritas Stainless Steel, one of Türkiye’s leading stainless steel producers, has awarded the company a significant order to supply key equipment for its upcoming integrated stainless steel plant in Yalova, Türkiye.
The multi-phase project is expected to significantly strengthen Türkiye’s domestic stainless steel production capacity and reduce dependence on imports. Once fully operational, the facility will have an annual production capacity of 800,000 metric tons, positioning it as a major contributor to the region’s stainless steel supply chain.
Under the first phase of the project, ANDRITZ will deliver critical processing equipment including cold rolling mills, an annealing and pickling line, skin-pass mills, and related auxiliary systems. The setup will enable the production of high-quality cold-rolled stainless steel products catering to key sectors such as automotive, home appliances, and energy.
The plant is scheduled to commence operations in early 2028 and will incorporate advanced automation and digital process control technologies aimed at ensuring stable production, high surface quality, and optimized energy efficiency.
The project aligns with Saritas’ long-term strategy focused on resource efficiency, technological advancement, and strengthening competitiveness in both regional and global markets.
ANDRITZ noted that the order value has not been disclosed and will be included in its order intake for Q2 2026.
The development further reinforces ANDRITZ’s position as a global technology provider in metals processing, offering integrated solutions across rolling, automation, and digitalization systems.
