Acerinox Acquires Haynes International

Acerinox has acquired Haynes International, strengthening its position in high-performance alloys and the U.S. aerospace market. The company plans a $200 million investment to enhance operations and innovation.

Acerinox, a global leader in stainless steel and high-performance alloys, has officially acquired Haynes International through its U.S. subsidiary, North American Stainless (NAS). This strategic acquisition enhances Acerinox’s capabilities in high-performance alloys, particularly in the U.S. aerospace sector, while strengthening its market position globally.

With Haynes’s skilled team and rich legacy, we’re confident in achieving significant advancements together.”

Michael L. Shor, CEO of Haynes International, emphasized the benefits of the merger: “Joining Acerinox will allow us to better serve our customers with expanded capacity and product innovation. This partnership marks an exciting chapter for our employees, customers, and local communities.”

Haynes will integrate with VDM Metals to form Acerinox’s High-Performance Alloys (HPA) Division. Over the next four years, Acerinox plans to invest $200 million, primarily in Haynes’s Kokomo operations, creating an advanced alloy and stainless steel platform to drive innovation and growth.
