Jindal Stainless Re-Appoints Rajeev Uberoi as Independent Director

Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has reappointed Rajeev Uberoi as an Independent Director for a second three-year term. The new term will begin on 2 November 2025. The company’s board approved the reappointment through a resolution passed on 28 October 2025. The Nomination and Remuneration Committee recommended his continuation on the board after a detailed review of his performance.

Uberoi brings decades of experience in governance, compliance, and financial management. He earlier served as the CEO of IDFC Holding Finance Company Ltd. He also worked as General Counsel and Group Head Audit at IDFC Bank Ltd. Before that, he was Group Senior President, Governance and Control, at Yes Bank.

His career includes roles with Standard Chartered Bank, Union Bank of India, State Bank of India, and the Reserve Bank of India. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics, a master’s degree from McMaster University as a Canadian Commonwealth Scholar, and a postgraduate diploma in business administration from MDI.

Jindal Stainless confirmed that Uberoi meets all regulatory standards to hold the position. The company has made full disclosures as required under SEBI norms. This reflects JSL’s continued commitment to transparency and compliance across its operations and leadership.
