Boisar, Maharashtra, October 29, 2024 – Viraj Profiles Limited, a global leader in stainless steel manufacturing, has marked a new chapter in its growth by launching its state-of-the-art Piercer Mill at the newly established Seamless Pipe Plant. This significant milestone positions Viraj Profiles at the forefront of the seamless stainless steel pipe sector, catering to critical applications that require robust, high-pressure-resistant materials.
The facility, inaugurated on October 21, 2024, commenced production with hot-finished mother hollows, created by piercing bright round bars produced at Viraj’s own melting and bright bar manufacturing facility. This addition enables Viraj Profiles to deliver high-grade seamless stainless steel pipes, well-suited for industries such as oil and gas, boilers, pressure vessels, and aerospace, where high strength and precision are paramount.
With an emphasis on quality assurance, Viraj’s new plant integrates advanced testing protocols—including hydro testing, ultrasonic testing, eddy current analysis, tensile strength and impact testing, hardness checks, microscopic grain size inspections, chemical analysis, and IGC testing. These rigorous quality measures ensure each product meets the demanding standards of its intended applications.
The launch event was attended by Viraj Profiles’ dedicated team, who witnessed the inaugural roll-out of seamless pipes following a ceremonial prayer.
