fischer Group’s production plant in Ivanovice na Hane, Czech Republic, was honoured with the GEO Award in the 33rd annual production benchmark competition, celebrating 30 years of excellence.
The fischer Group of Companies has been awarded the distinguished ‘Factory of the Year’ title in the 33rd Global Excellence in Operations (GEO) competition for its Czech production site in Ivanovice na Hane.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the plant was recognised for its exemplary operational standards across the entire value chain, reinforcing fischer’s reputation as a leader in manufacturing. The GEO Award, one of Europe’s most coveted honours in production and operations, is organised annually by consultancy Kearney in collaboration with trade journal ‘Produktion’ and Suddeutscher Verlag Veranstaltungen GmbH.
This recognition is awarded to companies that demonstrate exceptional value creation and efficient handling of production challenges.
This win is a testament to the remarkable performance of the Ivanovice na Hane team, led by Managing Director Vladimír Hudec, who emphasised the collective efforts of the Czech team and the broader fischer workforce. Maximilian Bronner, Managing Director of Production and Technology, attributed the achievement to fischer’s rigorous Process System, which has set a high standard for operational efficiency at all nine of the company’s production sites worldwide.
This accomplishment highlights the plant’s role as a benchmark for fischer’s global sites, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. The award will be presented in March 2025 at the Factory of the Year congress in Ludwigsburg, Germany, recognising fischer Group’s enduring commitment to operational excellence and inspiring continued advancements in manufacturing processes.
