Jindal Stainless Bags Six Honours at 12th National Awards for Manufacturing Competitiveness
Jindal Stainless has been recognised with six prestigious awards at the 12th National Awards for Manufacturing Competitiveness (NAMC), reaffirming its commitment to manufacturing excellence, digital transformation, and operational innovation across its production facilities.
The company’s Hisar and Mundra manufacturing units were honoured under the AatmaNirbhar Factory Recognition Program (AFRP) for their achievements in operational efficiency, lean manufacturing, digitalisation, and continuous improvement.
The Hisar unit received the Gold Medal and the AatmaNirbhar Nation Builder Award under AFRP for the fourth consecutive year. It also secured the Diamond Award for the second consecutive year, recognising three successive years of top performance, and was named the second runner-up in the overall NAMC rankings.
Meanwhile, the Mundra unit earned the Silver Medal and AatmaNirbhar Factory Recognition, reflecting its continued focus on manufacturing excellence, operational efficiency, and process improvement.
According to the company, the recognition stems from the successful implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 technologies, and digitalisation initiatives. The facilities have also strengthened their quality, safety, health and environment (QSHE) systems while promoting energy efficiency, sustainability, resource optimisation, employee capability development, cross-functional collaboration, and customer-centric operational practices.
Commenting on the achievement, Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, said the awards reflect the company’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. The awards followed a rigorous assessment conducted between April 6 and 8, 2026, during which Jindal Stainless competed against 170 manufacturing units from across the country. The honours were presented at the NAMC Award Ceremony held at ITC Maratha, Mumbai, by Padma Bhushan Dr. A. Sivathanu Pillai, Founder of BrahMos Aerospace.

Instituted by the International Research Institute for Manufacturing (IRIM) in 2013, the National Awards for Manufacturing Competitiveness recognise organisations that demonstrate excellence in manufacturing through innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainable competitiveness. Participating companies are evaluated through comprehensive onsite assessments based on IRIM’s 10 Manufacturing Competitiveness Indicators.
