Savitri Jindal Reinforces Employment-Led Growth at Jindal Stainless Hisar

Chairperson Emeritus of OP Jindal Group, Smt Savitri Jindal, participated in the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) programme at Jindal Stainless’ Hisar facility, underscoring the importance of employment generation and workforce development in India’s growth journey.

The programme highlighted the growing role of industry in supporting the government’s vision of a developed India through job creation, social security, and economic inclusion. Addressing the national event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi noted that nearly 70 lakh jobs have been created under the initiative so far, while around 70 lakh first-time employees have been brought into the formal workforce.

The programme has also facilitated the direct transfer of more than ₹2,400 crore to beneficiaries, strengthening financial support mechanisms and encouraging greater workforce participation. These measures are aimed at expanding formal employment opportunities while enhancing social security coverage for young workers entering the job market.

At Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit, the session served as a reminder of the critical role manufacturing companies play in driving employment and economic growth.
