EEPC India and ISSDA have joined forces through a new MoU to enhance the export potential of MSMEs in the engineering and stainless steel sectors.
In a strategic move to bolster exports from India’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India) has partnered with the Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA) through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU, inked on Tuesday, focuses on enhancing the export capabilities of MSMEs within the engineering and stainless steel sectors. This collaboration is poised to drive export growth by identifying potential export products, organising trade exhibitions, buyer-seller meetings, and economic summits.
A key aspect of this agreement is the exchange of trade-related information and the promotion of international investment through joint ventures and technical collaborations.
The signing of the MoU was officiated by Adhip Mitra, Executive Director, EEPC; and Rohit Kumar, Executive Director, ISSDA. The event saw the presence of Rajamani Krishnamurti, President, ISSDA, and senior officials from EEPC India, highlighting the significance of this partnership.
Moving forward, EEPC India and ISSDA plan to conduct regional capacity-building sessions aimed at strengthening the engineering goods and stainless steel sectors.
This alliance between two leading industry organizations is expected to significantly enhance India’s engineering goods and stainless steel exports, providing a substantial boost to the MSME sector. By leveraging the combined expertise and networks of EEPC India and ISSDA, this collaboration seeks to unlock new global market opportunities for Indian businesses.
As this initiative takes shape, its impact on India’s export performance and the growth trajectory of MSMEs in these sectors will be closely watched.
